I am alive…I promise!
This month has been so busy it seems that I have barely had time to check my email let alone update my blog! I like how time is flying because I want January to be here already but at the same time I just feel so tired! This month we have started pre-natal classes (this past week we ended the class with a relaxation technique with all of us couples spooning on the ground…awkward), attended the Feist concert, saw David Copperfield, went to Stoon for a flag-football tournament, went to Outlook on our way home to see Cathay, Trevor, Paige, the baby belly and the amazing fireworks, drove back to Saskatoon late on night for a course the next day, then drove back to Regina late the next night to go back to work, had a Chinese/Wii party at a co-workers house (Rock Band rules!! I am the best at drumming!), had the family come home (Cullen, Emily, Chel and Adam) for Thanksgiving, Rider games, time spent with my Aunt and a tomorrow a 1st birthday party for Sommer McCullough. This is all in random order and I am sure I missed a lot but hence why I am so tired! Work is also super busy right now as it is quarter-end which means quarterly reports have to be done and sent to clients and with the markets being so unstable (nicest way of putting it) we are planning on meeting with every client in the next three months for presentations…which I have to put together! Thank goodness we have hired another employee in the Communications departement (covering my maternity leave) who was able to start last month, I am not sure what I would have done without her! As much as I love the people I work with and love my job…I sure can not wait to be off for a year!
I am 27 weeks now and getting larger by the day! I went for a pre-natal check-up yesterday and once again got to see that scale go higher and higher. Not that gaining weight is bad during a pregnancy, it obviously needs to happen, but as any women, I think it is hard to see how much weight you can put on so quickly…and know that is sure won’t come off that quickly! Everything seems perfect with the baby except for that he was moving around so much we could barely count his heart rate! Blood pressure was good, 110/70, which is what I was worried about. With how busy and stressed I have been I was concered that it was affecting my blood pressure and that the doctor would tell me that I would have to quit work and rest until I deliver (I nightmare I have been having over and over again)…but alas, it was fine. I am finally beginning to feel the him move now. Since my placenta is at the front of my uterus, it muffles a lot of movement and that is why I hadn’t felt anything until about 3 weeks ago. Now I feel him move everyday and yesterday morning he even kicked his dad!! It is amazing to see how much Conrad cares about our little guy so much already! He was really upset that he couldn’t make the doctor’s appointment yesterday as he loves hearing his heart beat. Most husbands don’t ever go to the appointments but I think Conrad likes feeling apart of this whole process. At the end of everyday he usually asks me how the baby is and if I felt him much today…on the days that I haven’t felt much movement, I tell him that and he gives our baby a pep talk! I can not wait for our baby to be here so that Conrad can be the father that he is so anxious to be!
We have been invited to Halloween party at a co-workers next Friday and I am trying to think of creative costumes that involve a pregnant belly. We never do anything for Halloween (except buy candy for the kids that I end up eating) so this is different for us. One that I have thought of is going as Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, we just have to find some kid carriers, several different nationalities of dolls, a long dark wig, a mumu, a vest/old suit and paperboy hat for Conrad. Sounds pretty simple eh?!?! Does anyone else have any good ideas that don’t involve me actually having to show my belly or paint it to represent something, as that is all I can find on the internet. Let me know of your ideas!
Until next time….

October is going to be busy…
I can tell already! We start our pre-natal classes on Thursday evenings which conveniently cuts into Conrad’s Survivor nights, I swear I had no part in planning that! Thanksgiving is also almost here too! This now means that my sister is most likely coming home!!!! I could not be more excited as I have not seen her since two days in April…I think! My little brother’s girlfriend, Emily, is also coming for Thanksgiving so we are going to have a very full house (should have warned you Emily!). So in total there will be Conrad, Sheena, Kyle, Cullen, Emily, Chelsea, Moses and baby (thought I better add that last one) all staying in our 800 sq foot house…Mom and Dad you should be jealous! We will also be celebrating with my Aunt Sandra all weekend and especially at the Thanksgiving meal that we are attending at the Hotel Sask, yum! Unfortunately with all these people now coming to our place for the holiday, it ruins our plan of spending a night in Saskatoon to visit Christina…I hope she will forgive us as I feel awful! Then on Oct. 19 I am attending the Feist concert with Conrad, Cullen, Adam and a friend of his, on Oct. 20 I am attending David Copperfield with Conrad, James and Melissa, that night I am driving to Saskatoon and staying at the Saskatoon Inn because the next day I am taking an all-day course there and driving back to Regina that night. I am going to be out of commission for the rest of that week…do not contact me as I will be sleeping! Also, at the end of the month we get to celebrate Sommer’s (James and Melissa’s daughter) 1st birthday on the 25th and our neice Paige’s 2nd birthday on the 27th!
As I read this back I realize:
a) That I am tired just thinking about October, and
b) I use a lot of exclamation marks!!!!!!
